A couple of years ago, I bumped into Bboxx advertisement on LinkedIn while looking for an opportunity with an impact to relocate back to “motherland”. What better way to challenge oneself, than being part of such an amazing and ambitious business, while creating an impact in the underprivileged communities through access to energy. Roger Brugger helped to make that dream a reality after a 28 hours flight for my second interview in Rwanda from New Zealand!

I am a Chartered Accountant by profession with experience working for PwC & KPMG including secondments to other companies, working on external audits, risk management, and deal advisory in various markets. The Internal Audit role was newly created, as soon as I joined, I got a briefing about the exciting challenges. Since then I have the privilege of working with many people across the different entities and teams as well as experiencing the diverse cultures at Bboxx. My responsibilities include reviewing controls and understanding weaknesses impacting our financial management and control environment while recommending changes and working with teams to strengthen the control environment and increased accuracy on financial reporting.

Looking forward to life after video calls and enjoying the office banter. Robert’s theories about anything and everything in life, the Friday recharge hours led by Solange, monthly social by Joan keeping the office vibrant. Amaury (pre-London) motivating on the fitness with the Monday bRun where I “bWalk”. To another Christmas party, campaign trail to win the “Rising star” award for the second year in a row. It truly is a great place to work.
